Our story
Nine years ago, my husband and I with our children left Europe for the United States. The transition wasn't easy. My poor English didn’t help either to communicate, especially in New York, where people speak very quickly with different accents. I felt alone, trying my best to fit in.
A few months later, I wasn't prepared for it, life took a different turn for my daughter. She began to feel alone after the only friend she had in class left. Being quite reserved, perfectly bilingual in French and English since the age of one, language wasn't a problem for her. But, when you don’t have a community that embraces you, you can quickly feel left out. I saw my little girl dealing with that...
But through it all, she remained kind and polite to everyone. At six-year-old my daughter already knew what it means to be resilient - to not give up easily.
I felt a deep desire to do something that would have a significant impact on my daughter's life. I created a best friend for her named Kama. And through that doll, a brand was born: Princess Ka Dolls.
